Position Summary
The Country Director will be responsible for the strategic leadership, business growth, and operational excellence of the firm’s activities within the country. This role demands a visionary leader who can drive commercial success, enhance client relationships, and ensure high-quality service delivery. The successful candidate will oversee teams across multiple service lines and will represent the company at senior industry and client levels while contributing to broader regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the country business strategy in alignment with regional and global objectives
Lead all country-level operations, ensuring high-quality project delivery, compliance, and profitability
Oversee commercial performance, client acquisition, and key account management
Represent the company at senior client meetings, industry forums, and regional leadership discussions
Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Ensure governance, statutory compliance, and operational risk management
Drive growth in new sectors and expand strategic partnerships within the market
Work closely with regional directors to contribute to broader APAC strategy and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related field
Minimum 15 years’ experience in consultancy or construction sectors, with at least 5 years in country leadership roles
Strong understanding of project lifecycles across real estate, infrastructure, or resources sectors
Proven track record of business development, team leadership, and client engagement
Deep knowledge of local market conditions, regulations, and industry trends
Excellent communication, leadership, and commercial negotiation skills
Fluent in English; proficiency in local language is a strong advantage
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Construction Law, or related disciplines
Professional membership with RICS, PMP, or equivalent chartered status
Experience managing P&L and leading multi-office operations
Background in international consultancy with exposure to both public and private sector clients
