As Cost Director, you will lead cost-management in multiple projects, ensuring rigorous budgeting, forecasting and cost control to drive efficiency and profitability. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to identify savings opportunities, benchmark competitiveness, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end cost-management strategy for capital and operating expenditures, including scenario planning, budgeting, funding and cash-flow performance-to-plan
  • Oversee all aspects of facilities cost management across multiple sites, including capital and cash savings, cost-competitiveness benchmarking and variance analysis
  • Coordinate budgeting and funding reviews with Finance, Procurement, Engineering and Project Management stakeholders; track project progress and implement mitigation plans for cost risks
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives through process optimization and value-engineering exercises
  • Produce accurate cost forecasts, financial analyses and executive-level reports to inform strategic decision-making
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing cost team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in cost management within manufacturing, construction or large-scale facilities environments. 
  • Proven track record with capital-project cost control, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in cost-estimating and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle-EPR, Procore).
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic-thinking and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline
  • Experience in real-estate development or semiconductor/manufacturing sectors
  • Mandarin proficiency for regional stakeholder engagement
