Job Title: Sr Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural (Data Centres) Company Type: Data Centre Owner & Developer Location: Singapore Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Project Type: Data Centre Salary: Circa SGD 120,000 per annum Responsibilities:
- Lead CSA design on assigned regional Data Center (DC) projects, including managing appointed consultants and contractors.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and team members to develop CSA Employer’s Requirements for new projects.
- Identify and manage CSA related issues regarding the design, including resolving with other team members, consultants and vendors, supporting projects through all project phases.
- Review the detailed project CSA design prepared by appointed vendors against regional and/or group design standards.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and team members for value engineering to reduce costs and improve schedule, without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
- Support Due Diligence teams in site selection and master planning.
- Promote sustainable data centre design by leveraging industry best practises, and applying BCA GreenMark/LEED and similar requirements.
- Champion and perform engineering innovation in support of continued DC performance improvements.
- Support project risk assessment, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Deputise for Project Engineering Director on assigned projects as required.
- Develop personnel within CSA specialisation area and review work within area of specialisation performed by others.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) Degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering/Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years design and practical construction experience in data centre/large industrial/warehouse/commercial projects.
- Professional development within Civil, Structural or Architectural.
- Professional Engineer (C&S)/Qualified Person (Architect) preferred.
- Functional knowledge of industry standards, environmental codes, building codes and safety standards including International Building Code.
- Experienced in projects with large scale mechanical and power systems.
- Relevant experience with projects with a minimum project value of $200m.
- Solid working proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
- Experienced in Data Centre design.
- Well versed in TIA 942 and Uptime Institute. •Excellent written and communication skills.
- Experience across multiple Asian countries with demonstrated cultural sensitivity.
- Must be willing to travel as part of the job scope.
